Creative Writing

Weather with you.

Sitting out front on the porch, watching the sun shine on the
grass so heavily. Feeling emotionally happy while as clouds
begin to pass by, setting foot on the grass, feeling my toes
curls as if I was standing on a soft white cloud. Each step I take I feel the
wind blow swiftly on my hair. My eyes begin to brighten
with every glance I take into the distance.

Can you hear it ?

The midnight fog taking place through the town,
wind howling down, shadows dashing through…
I feel a chill up my spine as I’m walking through and
I see a house in the distance and my temptation grows wild.
I make it to the house and i hear creaking from the tiles as I set foot,
I see claw marks in the ceiling… I turn around and see the door slam..
then I hear a voice say “Did you hear it”.

Horror camping trip
One foggy night me and my 3 friends went out camping in the woods. A few miles away from where we left the car, walking down this gravel pathway to get to our destination. Laughs and jokes being let out as we slowly make our way, we finally get there and we set up our tents and begin to get a a fire started... one of my friends brings out his packet of marshmallows. As the night goes through my mate begins to tell a story about a body coming back from the dead every 2 years on july 7th. we all begin to listen while he tells his story and we stop roasting our marshmallows, when he tells the story, we begin to hear sticks snapping and leaves crunching sending shivers up our spines. I slowly realize that when he said that the body comes back to life on a certain day... I was telling you a story that I made, I shoot back to reality and all my friends are laying there frightened only to look behind and see him making a beeline for me.

A letter to my writers block
Dear writers block, its not you its me... I don't feel like how I did when I first met you.
My emotions have begun to fade away from you and you're perfect in every way but
my heart doesn't beat for you anymore. I'm sorry to say this but I hope life has many
greater rewards for you unlike this.

Video game gone rogue
I remember growing up playing video games, my favourite video game to play was
crash bandicoot. He was a good hero defeating evil and collecting apples...
he comes from another dimension but he was sucked through a vortex, transporting to another
dimension and having to start a new life in a new world. They have changed so much to where
apple is their only source of food and they are adapting to a new environment.

Walking through the streets, I look to my side and see this sweet lover, the sun begins to shine upon her eyes. Every step I begin to take is a step closer to her heart and I hope she wants me, beautiful woman, because you're the one i need and the one my heart beats for , becoming empty inside everytime i see you and I wish I could show her my heart till then im still torn apart.

Negative impact of technology

I believe students are addicted to their phones because of the apps they have downloaded like snap chat, Facebook, Instagram also wanting to talk to their friends and post pictures of them selves. I think this because most teenagers nowadays don't really go outside and get some fresh air because they have their phones.

You can't hang with your friends because they are to busy on social media.
Spending time with family is hard because to much screen time.
Less sociable because they are less communicative.

Paragraph: Child labor is something that interferes with children's school attendance, like working on the streets as in doing sex trafficking, working in the mines. Some kids that are in child labor do the same routine everyday, they do it to help their families.

Neutralisation reaction.

Describe a neutralisation reaction: when the liquid turns green, the ions that come from the acid and the base have to be balanced.

Slave songs

Explain the feeling that you get when you listen to these songs? That that they we're picking cotton and doing it all day.

What kind of information about slavery did you learn from these songs? What they had to go through and their daily life.

What can you relate to in any of these songs? I am not able to because i've never lived life this harsh.

What do you think the slaves are talking about in these songs? their daily life of torture and pain.

What is a work song?

It was a song that kept the workers entertained, as well as alerted. but also to call attention to one another.

Science

Definition Of heart burn +indigestion.

Heart burn is caused by a form of indigestion felt as a burning sensation in the chest, caused by acid regurgitation into the oesophagus.

Indigestion is caused by pain or discomfort when digesting food to fast.

Neutralisation

We were doing an experiment in science, we were trying to neutralise (Hydrochloric Acid) with baking soda.

Aim: To neutralise the Hyrdochloric acid to neutral

Eq: Boiler tube, Baking soda, hyrdochloric acid, universal indicator, test tube rack.

Method: we gathered up our gear, we use hyrdochloric acid with baking soda also universal indicator. we grabbed a test tube rack with some boiler tubes aswell, Firstly we grabbed a boiler tube then we had put it in the test tube rack then we grabbed hyrdochloric acid with some baking soda th

Designing experiment

EqAim: Compare solid and liquid bases in neutralisation.

Hypothesis:Both bases will turn green.

Materials:

Hydrochloric Acid

Universal Indicator

Quick Eze(base)

Gaviscon(Liquid)

Beaker

Dropper

Test tube

Rack

Methods:

Measure all the testers that will be used by 3 ml(bases,acid, and indicator). Then, pour the universal indicator in the two test tubes and afterwards, the hydrochloric acid. Next, put the bases in different test tube. Repeat.

Results:

1st try. The powder doesn’t completely neutralize the acid and is more light green in color than the liquid,

2nd try. The liquid is still more green than the powder but this time the powder is greener than it is before.

Conclusion/Discussion:

We saw that liquid base is likely more to neutralize the acid than the solid. It is because the liquid dissolves faster than the powder. In our second try of experimenting, the powder tends to be more green in color than in the first try which is because we waited for a little more time for to dissolves but the liquid is still more to neutralize that acid.

Definitions:

Indigestion or ‘Heartburn’ means when the acid from the stomach is too much and it flows into the esophagus. The stomach contains cell for it to protect its walls while the esophagus doesn’t that’s why we feel pain and discomfort when we have indigestion.
